Untitled Document

StrangeTango.com is a multilayered art installation in cyberspace…the documentation of a life in three iterations: as a film treatment, a book, a blog.

“What remains as documentation of a life?” Strange Tango haunts the boundaries of digital streams and visceral storytelling, where pixels and dreams flow together.

Video, reportage, and nonlinear narrative meld in captured moments from the life of A. D. Tejada, artist - traveler - citizen of the world.

The Key to the Strange Tango Kingdom

The Strange Tango Kingdom
“The next step is sharing her vision of cyberspace as the next frontier in the literary arts. Says Tejada, “For my collaborators and me, Strange Tango is a labor of love and a global platform for original and passionate creativity.’”  ~Raphael Seligmann

Welcome to the world of Strange Tango. Conceptually speaking, the blog before you is an illustration of my thought processes─multilayered and cross-referenced, in a matrix pattern─that places the visitor in the navigational cockpit. Content is layered throughout the website: hover and click on images, text, and links.

The left column features visual cues.

Underneath the golden key that links to the main StrangeTango.com website is Contemplation, a space for featured photography. The image tells a story─a composition to be contemplated, an evocation of the spirit of place. This is a feature that changes regularly. We welcome quality photographs submitted by visitors to the website; these may be attached in an email that includes the photographer’s name, hometown, and a sentence or two about the photograph.

12 Muses echoes 12 months of the year, 12 astrological houses. The icons are a quick and visual way to categorize content.

The Albums is a preview of selected pictorial galleries linked to featured writings.

The Matrix is a tag cloud that orders content using visual cues such as font size and color intensity.

The center column features content.

Mantras change regularly. Also posted in this space are current information and features. The main content space showcases my writings and photography, as well as articles by guest columnists. At the end of each post are details such as date, tags, link to gallery, comments, and social bookmarks.

The right column features enhanced functionality for cross-reference and research of the blog’s contents.

This navigational section includes archives, search, links, videos, photo galleries, and social bookmarks.

Strange Tango’s Life as Art blog is an organic, evolving work-in-progress. Nothing in this space remains static, so posts may be updated for currency or finesse. As a conceptual art installation in cyberspace, the Strange Tango personal website documents my life; however, I believe that you can’t authentically document an individual’s life unless you also document the world we live in and its inhabitants.

Therefore, while the blog is a portal to the ideas and areas that are my inspiration─my 12 muses─this space is also a global platform to showcase emerging concepts, talented individuals, and new voices that are passionate, authentic, and innovative. Strange Tango welcomes contributions for guest columns, mantras, and photographs, which may be submitted to A@StrangeTango.com.
